Clayton Wyatt is a principal in Alliant Community Preservation Company and is responsible for accessing capital markets and structuring institutional joint ventures. In 2020, he started Vesta Ventures, a residential focused platform investing in high growth operating companies and early stage Venture Capital. Mr. Wyatt has co-founded, advised and invested in several PropTech startups in the residential space including SIBI, Roofstock, Opendoor, Setpoint, HappyCo, SecondNature and Petscreening.
Mr. Wyatt served as Chief Capital Officer for Alliant Capital, originating and leading its ultimate sale to Walker & Dunlop in 2021. He was also a part of the executive team that created the industry-first securitization in a hybrid CRE / CLO structure that has become a template for developers and syndicators to access institutional grade bonds. Prior to working with Alliant, he was a Vice President in the Real Estate Investment Banking group at Jefferies where he primarily covered REIT and PropTech clients. He completed bookrunner/lead advisory transactions totaling more than $15 billion in value, including Alliant’s sale of Omni to Stone Point Capital in 2014. Mr. Wyatt has over 20 years of real estate experience including venture capital, private equity, brokerage, construction/development, structured finance and investment banking. Mr. Wyatt earned his MBA from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University and B.S. from the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University.
