Wanjiku Gachiri

Wanjiku Gachiri is the Development Manager, Affordable Housing at Alliant Communities. In this role, she leads evaluation of new opportunities, secures financing and entitlements, and oversees all aspects of the development process for the creation of new affordable communities. Ms. Gachiri has expertise across all aspects of affordable housing development, has secured numerous land use entitlements and competitive funding awards, and been an integral part of multiple acquisition and construction loan closings. Wanjiku’s background includes working for both for and nonprofit affordable development organizations as well as the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles. Wanjiku holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Riverside and completed graduate studies in Urban and Regional Planning at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
